I'm a food, drink and features journalist as well as author and content producer living primarily in San Antonio, Cayo, Belize
A former restaurateur, I've been a food writer in New England since 2002 and in addition to writing thousands of features covering many topics, I wrote a weekly column, Wine Me, Dine Me for 19 years. I was the restaurant reviewer for The Portsmouth Herald in NH for 16 years. I was also "Our Gourmet," the restaurant critic for the Union Leader in NH as well as the Cheap Eats writer for New Hampshire Magazine.
I'm frequently asked for my thoughts on various food and restaurant topics for online publications such as Eater Maine, The Daily Meal, and Grub Street and have been quoted in those publications and more. I contributed to Eater's The 38 Best Restaurants in New England list.
I had a radio show on WSCA in Portsmouth, NH for many years, and have contributed to food stores on NHPR including here and here.
I contribute to video broadcasts as well.
Until 2022, I was employed by Gannett, the parent company for the USAToday network as a Content Strategist on the GET Creative branded content team. Past digital product experience includes a role as Executive Producer for the Travel and Shopping channels at AOL Time Warner and Product and Content Manager for eCommerce products including a daily deal product for GateHouse Media.
I currently work on a novel set in Belize, a nonfiction project called "This Belizean Life" and more, all from my home in Belize where I live with my husband, Jim, seven rescued dogs and one black cat.
