Located just outside San Antonio Village, this family-owned center offers a hands-on cooking class, a bird trail and a butterfly farm. On the weekends, they offer a great lunch and recently,on most Friday evenings a special themed dinner.
U Janal Masewal
The Tzib family lives in San Antonio village and offer a hands-on cooking class/culinary experience under a palapa outside their house. It’s really great and they are lovely people. The sons, Abdon and Frank are two in a new generation of Yucatec Maya helping to keep Maya culture “alive.” Frank also will teach Maya hieroglyphic writing if you like.
Eden Valley Mayan Kitchen
This immersive Maya cooking experience is located near /Cristo Rey village, close to San Ignacio.
Hieroglyph Workshop
Jorge de Leon is a Maya scholar and tour guide who guides frequent trips to Tikal, Caracol and Xunantunich archaeological sites. He is also a Maya glyph specialist and guests can take his fun and informative workshop

This Maya-owned butterfly farm is in the heart of the village.
San Antonio Women's Cooperative
A non-profit organization located in San Antonio Village. Their main goal is to support and empower women and youths through preserving culture and traditional arts and crafts, including pottery, cooking and embroidery.
Oxmul Coffee
Located just before entering the village from San Ignacio, this coffee farm is where the Mesh family grows, roasts and grinds coffee all without electricity. Go for a tour and tasting experience as well as turning the roasting drum and grinding on the molcajete yourself.
AJAW Chocolate
Small tasting and chocolate making shop in the center of San Ignacio. They demo chocolate making using a traditional molcajete.
The Farm Shop
Explore this new shop in San Antonio village where you'll find locally grown produce. San Antonio is where most of the peanuts in the country are grown!
